Conflict of Interest Policy

The International Journal of Science Education and Cultural Studies, published by Sultan Publisher, is committed to transparency, fairness, and integrity in scholarly publishing. All authors, editors, and reviewers are responsible for disclosing relationships or interests that could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, research findings or editorial decisions.

Authors. Authors must disclose relevant financial and nonfinancial interests, including funding, employment, consultancy, personal relationships, institutional affiliations, intellectual property, and commercial interests related to the submitted research. Disclosures must be provided during submission and included in the manuscript where appropriate. If no conflict exists, authors should state: “The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper.”

Editors. Editors must disclose any personal, financial, institutional, or professional relationships that could compromise their impartiality. An editor with a relevant conflict must not manage or make decisions on the manuscript. The manuscript will be assigned to an independent editor.

Reviewers. Reviewers must disclose potential conflicts before accepting a review invitation. Relevant conflicts may include recent collaboration, close personal relationships, financial interests, institutional relationships, or direct competition. Reviewers with conflicts must decline the invitation or notify the editor if a conflict emerges during the review process.

Funding Disclosure. Authors must identify relevant research funding and explain the funder's role in the study, where applicable. Funding disclosure does not replace the requirement to declare conflicts of interest.

Management of Conflicts. The International Journal of Science Education and Cultural Studies, may request additional information, appoint an independent editor or reviewer, require further disclosure, or take appropriate editorial action when a conflict is identified. Undisclosed conflicts discovered after publication will be assessed and may result in a correction, editorial notice, or other action appropriate to the circumstances. Editorial decisions must be based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal's scope, and research integrity. Sultan Publisher supports editorial independence and does not permit commercial or personal interests to improperly influence publication decisions. This policy applies to all manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Science Education and Cultural Studies, and should be read alongside the journal's publication ethics and peer-review policies.
